DOES JOE FLACCO STILL HAVE IT IN PRIMETIME?

By: Grant Poarch

Just when you think you have this league figured out, weird things happen. Last week was full of upsets and major favorites struggling to wins over mediocre opponents. Even still, we won more than we lost on the money line and weren’t far underwater given the wild week. In week 16, I went 10-6 on the money line and 7-9 on the spread. That brings my overall record on the year to 146-94 on the money line and 123-117 on the spread. This week, it seems like there are a lot of layups. So, that means chaos is upon us. With that said, fade me at your own risk and tail me at your inevitable benefit. The odds listed are provided by DraftKings.

12/28 (TNF): New York Jets @ Cleveland Browns (-7, O/U 33.5), 8:15PM EST, Prime Video

“I think Joe Flacco is actually a very elite quarterback.” (Donald Trump, 2015). Well, President Trump might still be right today. Joe Flacco’s resurgence has been incredible to watch. Sure, his interceptions have been an issue but his touchdowns and passing yards have given the Cleveland offense a boost that they desperately needed earlier in the season.

Cleveland should be rocking tonight as they clinch a playoff spot with a win tonight. Furthermore, they are 7-1 at home this season with their lone loss coming against Baltimore. To make things even better for the Browns, Trevor Siemian will starting for the Jets tonight. He is a subpar quarterback who will not do well against the Cleveland defense.

This is going to be a low scoring game, but I believe in Cleveland. They will be able to lean on the Jets and come out on top rather comfortably.

Prediction: Cleveland wins, Cleveland covers -7
